I read the news today, oh boy.

Except I read it on my iPhone.

As always, it was depressing as news often is. Regardless, I read it, scrolling through the headlines until one caught my eye.

Then another.

Then another.

As quickly as they appeared, they disappeared because there were so many yet-unread headlines that may be just a tad more juicy. Who knows what I might be missing if I stopped scrolling just then?

Such is the reality of living in a digital world, where the promise of something more interesting is just a scroll, swipe or click away.

Reading the news is no different from finding a date…
