Remember the groovy, sunken rooms of the 70s? It seemed like all of the coolest homeowners had one. They called it a “Conversation Pit,” with the idea that it would help people, you know, get real with each other.
Here’s a picture of what these must-have decor items looked like. This particular example is outfitted with a trendy orange-on-orange motif. It was the look back in the day.
So much to discuss, isn’t there? Not the least of which is the era’s collective obsession with orange, avocado and mustard - and no, not the foods - the colours.
