I think it might be coming back because there's good science to show we remember better when we write things down as opposed to typing. Particularly for students. Sometimes the ability to do a quick digital search, is not outweighed by the ability to remember better and develop the fine hand eye coordination. Also, the freedom of adding quick drawings, arrows, underlines, asterisks, et cetera is much easier to do by hand than typing. I may do my next journal entries by hand, even if it will take a while to make my writing legible again. Thanks for the lowdown.
I agree 100% and am thankful that I grew up in a time where we had to learn cursive. When I really want to remember something, I write it down - with a pen ;)
My son didn't learn cursive - you should see his signature. O.M.G.
I think he and his generation all have this as a reality. Not being taught cursive has led to some very messy signatures, indeed :)
